63 Challenge = 63 North Berwick Law Ascents in 63 Hours.
To mark Joe turning 63 years old, he will attempt a very special personal challenge, to climb North Berwick Law, 63 times in 63 hours, which equates to 8,850 metres, the height of the highest mountain on earth!
When:
Dates: Friday 26 – Sunday 28 June 2026
Starting: 00:01am on Friday 26 June
Finishing: 13:00hrs on Sunday 28 June
That’s 63 ascents in support of Blood Bikes Scotland and NHS Scotland.
Why He Is Doing This
Joe will be raising much needed funds for Blood Bikes Scotland, the incredible charity, who's volunteers deliver urgent medical supplies to and from NHS facilities — including blood, medicines, documents, equipment and test samples.
They operate 365 days a year, providing a vital service that is:
100% volunteer-run, 100% funded by donations, 100% FREE to the NHS
Every donation YOU make, helps keep these lifesaving journeys moving.
To make the event a belter, when Joe completes his final climb, there will be a wee celebration on the summit of Berwick Law to mark the achievement!
So as well as coming along to cheer him on, and celebrate this huge community moment, please, please donate, and help reach the £8,850 target, thats £1 for every metre climbed, to reach the summit of Everest.
Thank You, Blood Bikes Scotland

How To Get Started
Getting involved in the Everest Challenge is simple, and there are two ways to take part depending on how you’d like to support the challenge.
Individuals
If you’re taking part individually, you can choose to “Fundraise for us” by clicking on the yellow button at the top of this page to sign-up, to then setup your own personal fundraising page.
This is where you’ll share your story, set your target, and track your progress as you take on the challenge.
Every step, climb, or effort you make contributes directly to raising vital funds.
Clubs, Groups or Teams
If you’re joining as perhaps the secretary or captain of a club, group or team you can click on the yellow "Create a team" button, and then bring others on board to take part alongside you.
Once the Team page is created, each club member or participant will sign-up by creating their own fundraising page using the “Join team” button when on the Team page, then every amount raised will be added together under the Team total, showing the combined impact of everyone involved.
It’s a great way to inspire team-playing, build momentum, support each other, and turn your personal challenge into something much bigger, with every effort pushing the team closer to the summit!
Just Donate
If you are not going to be undertaking a personal or team challenge but you would still like to support the charity's goals you can simply click on the red "Donate now" button to add to our fundraising goals - and thank you so much for helping us to help!
